This little ad was to give customers a head’s up that the store was moving over a suburb. If Brisbane was Venice and our streets were canals, this ad could be entirely possible. You can see below some of the early character development sketch ideas. The finished product never strayed too far from the bottom one. We enjoyed the cuteness and silliness of the upper-left idea but quickly realised it was not going to work for the audience.
